A SPECIAL quiz night to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day is to be held in Lapford.
It will take place at 6.30pm for a 7pm start at Lapford Congregational Church on Friday, June 7.
There will be a special theme of red, white and blue – the colours of the Union Flag – to commemorate D-Day.
Entry costs £8 per person, including a buffet meal and pudding.
Teams should be of four to six people and there will also be a raffle.

D-Day refers to the major Allied invasion of Normandy during the Second World War. This year, 2024, marks the 80th anniversary of the landings, which took place on June 6, 1944.
Lapford Congregational Church can be found on Eastington Lane in the village, EX17 6QD. Lapford is around nine-and-a-half miles north-west of Crediton.
