A TOUR of fourteen “lovely” local gardens in and around Sampford Courtenay is set to be held.

It will take place on Sunday, June 30 from 11am to 4pm.

A spokesperson said: "You are invited by local gardeners to visit and enjoy their gardens with them – not to mention pick up ideas and inspiration!”

“And if you feel the need for refreshment during or after your tour (we do hope you do!), there will be ploughman’s (ham or cheese options) and cream teas available throughout the event at the village hall – which is also where you can buy your ticket.

“We look forward to seeing you at what promises to be a treat for keen gardeners and those who appreciate natural peace and beauty alike!”

Sampford Courtenay is a village located around 13 and a half miles west of Crediton.
