THE Olympics has been a great success for the British individuals and teams that have been taking part.
Children and families can enjoy a great summer holiday activity until September 8 by taking part in Sandford’s Scarecrow Trail which has an Olympic theme.
There are dozens of scarecrows located around the village of Sandford.
In addition to the scarecrows, which have been created by businesses and individuals, there is a fun challenge to complete along the way.
Trail Maps with the fun challenge cost £4 and are available from Sandford Community Stores (payment by card preferable).
The Stores is open Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5.30pm, closed 1pm to 2pm, Saturday 8.30am to 12.30pm and Sunday, 10am to 12 noon.
Those who take part can vote for their favourite scarecrow and the event is an annual fundraiser for Sandford School.
It is a beautiful walk around Sandford hunting for them.
