PART of the A377 at Eggesford railway station is to be shut for almost three weeks.

The closure for drainage, reconstruction and resurfacing works is scheduled to begin at 7.30am on Monday, November 4 and end at 5.30pm on Friday, November 22.

The crossroads at the station heading northeast to Chawleigh and southwest to Wembworthy will also be shut while the works are carried out.

The diversion route for the A377 closure is via Barnstaple, Bideford, Great Torrington, Winkleigh, North Tawton, Copplestone and back to the closure point.

The diversion given for the closure in the direction of Chawleigh is via Chulmleigh, and the diversion for the closure in the direction of Wembworthy is via Winkleigh, Down St Mary and Lapford.
