PUPILS at Morchard Bishop Church of England Primary School were excited to win the Crediton Library Summer Reading Challenge Schools’ Trophy for the third year running.
Hilary Jones, Literacy co-ordinator at the school explained: “49 per cent of the whole school took part, double what was achieved before.
“We are just delighted to have won it for the third year running.
“Reading has a high profile in the curriculum at Morchard Bishop School and we are encouraged a lot in reading right across the curriculum and children really enjoy learning.”
