Mid Devon's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 8pm October 20 to 5am October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27 lane closure for vegetation works.

M5, from 8pm October 21 to 5am October 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 28 lane closure for vegetation works.

M5, from 8pm October 24 to 5am October 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26 to 27 - lane closures for safety barrier repairs.

M5, from 8pm October 25 to 5am October 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26 to 28 - lane closures for safety barrier repairs.

M5, from 8pm October 26 to 5am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to 28 - lane closures for safety barrier repairs.

M5, from 8pm October 27 to 5am October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to 28 - lane closures for safety barrier repairs.

M5, from 8pm October 28 to 5am October 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 28 to 29 - lane closures for safety barrier repairs.

M5, from 8pm October 31 to 5am November 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 28 to 29 - lane closures for safety barrier repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
