Mid Devon's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 9pm January 10 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 exit and entry slip roads closed 24 / seven for resurfacing works. Exit slip diversion via northbound to junction 26, to turn and return southbound. Entry slip diversion via the M5 southbound to junction 28, to turn and return northbound.
• M5, from 6am November 15 2024 to 9pm January 13 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26 to 28 contraflow, narrow lanes and 50mph speed limit. Southbound, traffic to travel in the hard shoulder and lane 1. Northbound, traffic to travel on the southbound, side, in lanes two and 3. For resurfacing works.
• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.
And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 8pm January 13 to 6am January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 28 carriageway closure for resurfacing works. Diversion via the A38 and B3181.
• M5, from 8pm January 13 to 6am January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to 26 carriageway closure for resurfacing works. Diversion via the B3181 and A38.
• M5, from 6am January 14 to 9pm January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 28 lane closures, with hard shoulder running, for resurfacing works.
• M5, from 6am January 14 to 9pm January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to 26 lane closures, with hard shoulder running, for resurfacing works.
• A30, from 10am to 4pm on January 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Woodleigh exit slip closed for surveys, diversion via Whiddon Down and return.
• M5, from 6am January 25 to 9pm March 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26 to 28 contraflow, narrow lanes and 50mph speed limit for resurfacing works. Two running lanes open in both directions for traffic.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
