Mid Devon's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 8pm February 21 to 6am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 28 carriageway closure for resurfacing works. Diversion via the A38 and B3181.
• M5, from 6am January 25 to 9pm March 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26 to 28 contraflow, narrow lanes and 50mph speed limit for resurfacing works. Two running lanes open in both directions for traffic.
• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.
And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 8pm February 24 to 6am February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 28 to 27 carriageway closure for resurfacing works. Diversion via the B3181 and A38.
• M5, from 8pm February 25 to 6am February 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 28 carriageway closure for resurfacing works. Diversion via the A38 and B3181.
• A30, from 8am to 2pm on February 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Tongue End to Whiddon Down - lane closure for inspection/surveys.
• M5, from 8pm February 27 to 6am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 28 carriageway closure for resurfacing works. Diversion via the A38 and B3181.
• M5, from 6am March 1 to 6am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26 to 28 narrow lanes and 50mph speed limit for resurfacing works. Two running lanes open in both directions for traffic.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
