Drivers in and around Mid Devon will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 6am January 25 to 9pm March 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26 to 28 contraflow, narrow lanes and 50mph speed limit for resurfacing works. Two running lanes open in both directions for traffic.
• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.
And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 8pm February 21 to 6am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 28 carriageway closure for resurfacing works. Diversion via the A38 and B3181.
• M5, from 6am February 22 to 9pm February 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 27 exit and entry slip roads closed for resurfacing works. Entry slip diversion via northbound to junction 26, to turn and return southbound. Exit slip diversion via the M5 southbound to junction 28, to turn and return northbound.
• M5, from 8pm February 25 to 6am February 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 28 carriageway closure for resurfacing works. Diversion via the A38 and B3181.
• A30, from 8am to 2pm on February 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Tongue End to Whiddon Down - lane closure for inspection/surveys.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
