THE Lower Town Place, at the side of the Victory Hall in Lapford, has now been grassed out, and with footpaths around the outskirts, looks really lovely.
The new Lower Town Place Events Group is looking for ideas for its use, when things get back to normal, for community and family fun, outdoor theatre, music and dance and more.
If anyone can organise or help with events, please contact Darren Crump by email: Darrencrump99@hotmail.co.uk , David Bragg on 079700 33515, Ron Harle on email: heart4lapford@aol.com , Steve Keeble on 07967 655045 or Alex Gater on 07815 795918.
This area is now a great asset to the village, and the ideal place to hold events, besides being a place just to walk around and enjoy.
Meanwhile, the Victory Hall Management Committee, amazed at the lovely open space alongside the Hall, says that it is now looking to update its facilities.
It says that the next moves are for the refurbishment of the toilets, adding that it has received a grant for some of the work. It is also adding an external electricity power supply for future outdoor events.
To resolve the issue of storage for the furniture and equipment currently kept in the hall, storage containers will be used to help the situation.
This will involve changing the Emergency door for easy access to the containers.
It is believed that this will enhance the use of the hall for people and for those who use Lower Town Place.
