THE local production company “SevenAcre Cinema” recently started shooting a dark comedy in Crediton titled “Only by the Night”.

The company, owned by Josie Sanders, Josh Sanders and Jack Warner started shooting on Sunday, June 11 and spent the week at various locations in Crediton working hard to get all the footage needed for their first block of filming.

Josie explained: “This is our third film, with our other two planned to hit the film festival circuit this year.

“As a small, relatively local group we rely heavily on the co-operation of the local community and we would all like to personally thank the residents of Crediton, who have seen us out and about, for being so lovely and accommodating to us.

“Particular thanks has to go to the Refurnish store for being so welcoming and allowing us to film in their shop; as well as Pat and Norman Eakers and the residents of Barnfield for having us on their doorstep filming into the late hours.

“We could not be more grateful to them for their support.

“We will be doing our second block of filming at the end of July, for which we are still in search of a young, voluntary male actor to fill a role, so if there are any aspiring actors among the readership, email: [email protected] for more information!”
