SCORES of people flocked to the yearly Crediton Food and Drink Festival in the town on Saturday, June 8.
Founded in 2009, the event saw dozens of stalls offering a wide variety of local food and refreshments on Market Street and in the Town Square between 10am and 4pm.
Local food and drink producers were out in force selling fudge, hot dogs, cheese, cakes, fruit, ice cream, alcohol and more.
In the central marquee, there were demonstrations and talks all day, including from Barny Butterfield of Sandford Orchards and Rose Whitehouse of Red Earth Ferments.
A dinner to welcome visitors from European towns linked to St Boniface was also held the night before the festival.
A dozen guests from Fulda in Germany and Dokkum in the Netherlands enjoyed a “Levantine feast” provided by Baobab Cafe.
The festival was sponsored by several local organisations, including Crediton Town Council, Ashgrove Kitchens and Peck and Strong.
