BACK in the 1970’s allergic reactions of both herself and her children, forced Ruth Waterhouse to make a radical decision about how she needed to live in order to avoid artificial chemicals and processed foods.
Along with her husband, Robert, they started to grow their own food and live a more natural, sustainable lifestyle (similar to, but pre-dating, Tom and Barbara Good of the popular 70’s sit com).
Their hugely entertaining talk was very much enjoyed by all who attended the September meeting of the local Devon Senior Voice group.
The acting chair thanked them warmly for attending and also bringing some of their wholesome produce to share with the group.
Carol then reminded members about the Older Person’s Day on the Cathedral Green in Exeter on Thursday, October 1. All are welcome to this free event.
