IN Crediton we are used to the high levels of performance displayed by CODS and this year it is no exception.
From the moment audiences enter the school building at Queen Elizabeth’s School you are taken into a wonderful display of wedding accessories with so much colour and detail shown.
There is even a selfie board for those compulsory wedding pictures to be taken.
This is just the prelude to the action on the stage which is colourful, humorous, full of great singing and dancing with the most incredible display of costumes.Did the first night audiences enjoy it?
“A brilliant show. Had a fab night. Congratulations to all on an amazing performance” ST
“Great opening night. We really enjoyed the show. Brilliant performance by everyone” DT
“Fantastic show. Absolutely brilliant performance” AC
“Congratulations to all the cast for a brilliant show. For first night everyone was perfect and you can see all the hard work really paid off” VL.
James Billington, as Robbie, shines as the wedding singer and he is so well supported by Lyndsey Betts, as Julia.
Victoria Wood as Holly and Holly Harris as Linda, show great comedy timing with their slightly raunchy characters.
Craig Phoenix as Sammy and Adam Cavannah as George, complete the on stage band with Carol Stoyle playing the role of Robbie’s grandmother, Rosie.
A more in depth review will follow next week but at the time of going to print there are still about 30 tickets available for the Thursday and Saturday performances.
