A GIRL from Stockleigh Pomeroy has read as many as 50 books in just two years in a library reading challenge.

Jessica, 10, received her Secret Book Quest certificate from Library Supervisor Sue Lee at Crediton Library on Thursday, April 10.

Her favourite books are the Horrid Henry series by Francesca Simon. She also enjoys swimming in her spare time.

She plans to read a further 50 books to reach a total of 100.

A fun and free way to get children reading, the Secret Book Quest involves reading a set number of books, collecting stickers and deciphering a code.

Children can sign up for the challenge at their local library.
