SHOBROOKE’S harvest festival is set to be held in the village.

It will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 14 and 15.

The festival will kick off at 10am on Saturday with a blessing at the Holy Well close to the church.

There will be a whole host of local produce on offer, from courgette to cake, alongside activities for children including face painting, games and the “teddy zip-wire".

Attendees will be able to enjoy live music and a variety of stalls.

A church service will be held on Sunday at 6pm.

“The harvest festival is more than just a festive gathering,” Churchwarden Victoria Leeming said.

“It is a time to honour the fruits of the earth and the hard work of those who cultivate it.

“This celebration, deeply rooted in tradition, brings together families, friends and neighbours to give thanks for the season’s bounty and to foster a sense of unity and gratitude.”
