SHOPPERS will be able to park for free at St Saviour’s Way car park in Crediton on Saturdays in the run-up to Christmas.

Parking will be free for 24 hours on the following Saturdays: November 23, November 30, December 7, December 14 and December 21.

Mid Devon District Council will also be waiving charges at Station Road car park in Cullompton and the multi-storey car park in Tiverton on the same dates.

Normal fees will apply on all other days of the year.

“This initiative not only benefits our residents but also gives local businesses a boost during a crucial trading period,” Councillor James Buczkowski said.

“I’d encourage everyone to take advantage of these free parking Saturdays, visit our wonderful independent shops, and enjoy the holiday atmosphere.”
