CREDITON Vintage Farmers Group were treated to an insightful talk and lunch by Crediton Dairy's Agricultural Manager, Mr Andrew Butler.

The members enjoyed an engaging and informative meeting and enjoyed the talk on modern practices in the dairy industry. 

The event, held at the group’s monthly meeting, brought together older members of the rural community to hear insights into current trends, challenges, and innovations shaping the sector.

With a wealth of experience in agricultural management, Andrew offered a comprehensive overview of the strategies employed by Crediton Dairy to enhance productivity while maintaining high standards in animal welfare and environmental stewardship.

He shared how the dairy integrates traditional farming values with cutting-edge technology to adapt to an evolving market and respond to changing consumer demands.

Members expressed their appreciation for Butler's presentation, praising his expertise and Crediton Dairy’s commitment to supporting local agriculture.

Richard Sampson, Regional Support Officer for the Farming Community Network (FCN), said: “Farming can be a lonely job at the best of times; it is vital we keep the community together and connected.

“These events and meetings are important. It was great to see everyone engaged and chatting.”

Tamlyn Fraiquin, Crediton Community Builder, Involve Mid Devon expressed her thanks to Andrew and Crediton Dairy, who kindly hosted the event at Waterbridge Golf Course, which included a fantastic buffet.
