AS they have for the past two years, the dance band Red Shed will be hosting a ceilidh to remember its drummer of some 30 years, Peter Hamilton.
Pete's contribution to Crediton as an Arts and Events organiser was significant, and the packed dance-floor at Sandford Parish Hall both years reflected the esteem in which he is held.
With all profits going to Crediton Arts Centre - an important part of Pete's life - this year’s event, the third such ceilidh will not only be a great social event, but a charitable one.
The Third Peter Hamilton Memorial Ceilidh will take place at Sandford Parish Hall from 8pm on Friday, November 22.
Red Shed, now in their 33rd year together, don't get to play locally that often and this event is very special to the members.
With their caller, Peter Langley, they offer a high-octane night of music and English Country Dance featuring fiddle, banjo, harmonica, whistle, saxes, electric bass and guitar.
The Arts Centre Bar will be in attendance.
Tickets are only £8 each and available from Crediton Arts Centre on 01363 773260, on the door, and on-line from: www.ticketsource.co.uk/creditonartscentre .
