Farming support for QE School’s outdoor learning project
THE local farming community has stepped up to support Queen Elizabeth’s Secondary School in enhancing its outdoor learning environment.
The school aims to create an outdoor seating circle to provide students with a natural, engaging space for lessons and activities.
A key component of the project was tree-stump seats, and help came swiftly from local landowner Mr Roger Pennington.
Mr Pennington delivered logs from a tree that had fallen during recent storms, providing a sustainable and practical solution.
His contribution has brought the school closer to completing this inspiring project, demonstrating how local collaboration can create meaningful benefits for education and the community.
Mr Jack Fahy, Assistant Headteacher, QE School, said: "We reached out for help, and within days, our seating area was ready.
“The speed and generosity of Roger has been incredible and greatly appreciated."
