PUPILS from Exeter School will be rounding off their academic year with a Chamber Concert in Crediton Parish Church on Saturday, July 7 at 7.30pm.

Featuring many of their senior groups along with soloists, the evening promises a wide selection of styles to suit every musical taste.

The Chamber Choir and Vocal Ensemble will be including choral favourites including Mozart’s "Ave Verum" and Howells’ "Like as the Hart", and will be accompanied by local musician Andrew Daldorph on the organ.

Crediton will also be delighted to welcome back Tina Guthrie to the church, who in the Saturday evening concert will be conducting the all-girl close harmony group "Belles Canto".

Along with choirs, the school’s Chamber Orchestra will perform, as well as three of their quartets – a String Quartet playing Beethoven, a ‘Cello Quartet and the Saxophone Quartet.  The jazz/funk group known as "Swunk" promises to be a further highlight in this varied programme.

Tickets are available from the Exeter School on-line box office: www.exeterschool.org.uk/box-office or may be purchased on the door – adults £8, children £4 - and refreshments will be available.
