THE Crediton Church Music Foundation is thrilled to announce that one of the young choristers at Crediton Parish Church and a recipient of an Endowment Fund grant, Joshua Lobb has just passed his Grade 1 Clarinet Exam with flying colours and a very high Distinction mark.
Penny Pearkes, on behalf of the Trust, said: "Joshua received lessons paid for from the Fund and this is what it is all about.
"It is an example of great dedication and achievement from our young choristers who thrive by being in the Holy Cross Church Choir. Congratulations Joshua!"
Penny said that the Crediton Church Music Endowment Fund has quite a few fundraising events coming up to support the youngsters by encouraging their musical pursuits.
She added: "We recently gave another award for singing lessons to Izzy Revell and we look forward to hearing her in the Church Choir.
"Also, our newly appointed Associate Organist, Duncan Wauchope has been awarded a PipeUp award which gives him money towards organ lessons to work with Andrew Millington, former Director of Music at Exeter Cathedral.
"The music continues to flourish at Crediton Parish Church and the Music Endowment Fund is thrilled to be able to support it, and in turn support the worship at Holy Cross.
"Please come and do your bit by encouraging and supporting our efforts to raise funds for this worthwhile cause."
