A CHARITY concert in aid of Hospiscare is coming up this weekend in Crediton. 

Crediton Boniface Rotary Club and Crediton Town Band will host “Proms at Downes” on Saturday, July 6 from 7.30pm, with gates open from 6.30pm, in the grounds of Downes House. 

The evening of classical music including the proms will feature Crediton Town Band with guest cornet soloist Megan Newbery and the Tedburn Community Choir. 

Tickets cost £10 if bought in advance from Lees Outfitters, Crediton’s Hospiscare shop and online at www.creditontownband.org.uk, or £12 on the day.  

A pasty is included in the ticket price. Attendees should take chairs with them.  

All proceeds from the event, which is being sponsored by Sandford Orchards, will go to Hospiscare’s Hospiscare at Home service in Mid Devon. 

Downes House can be found off the A377 on the edge of Crediton.
