"WE’VE never been busier," says Diane Cummings, Chair of the Crediton Singers, the local community choir.
"We believe in being at the heart of the community, raising money for local charities, being open to everyone, and organising free concerts that all can attend."
The choir's unstuffy approach has won many plaudits and, in the 10 years since its inception, has raised thousands for local good causes.
This Sunday, April 16, at 5pm, the Crediton Singers will be presenting a concert in aid of Mid Devon Mobility.
To be held at the Elephant On The Green at 14 St Lawrence Green, the concert will feature a very wide range of music from Abba to Henry Purcell to hits from “Aladdin”.
"There's something for everyone and our Musical Director Tim Matthews is very good at putting together a musical programme that appeals across the board," says Diane.
Admission is free (doors open at 4.30pm), but donations to Mid Devon Mobility will be welcomed.
What is more, the choir is working towards an event at Crediton Parish Church on Saturday, May 27 with a twinning visit from a vocal group in Avranches, part of the town's ongoing links with the French town.
The following month, on June 24, the Singers will be taking part in the Crediton Arts Alive festival.
