LAPFORD Primary School had a wonderful turn out on Tuesday, September 13, to celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday.

Every pupil made a huge effort and showed off their fabulous costumes in assembly.

We had BFG’s, Matilda, Danny the Champion of the World, the formidable Ms Trunchball, an Ant Eater and Esio Trot even pottered in for a look.

Willy Wonka made an appearance too with his top hat, a Wonka bar and Golden Ticket!

The Roly Poly bird escaped the evil clutches of the Twits too! Phew!

Such a fun way to commemorate a truly loved author. We were thrilled with how many of our pupils could tell us about their favourite characters, books and poems.
