CREDITON Town Council budgets a sum of money every financial year for grants to local voluntary or charitable organisations where the activities will contribute to, and be of benefit to, the life or community and support the people of Crediton.

Recipient organisations and the amount allocated was: Crediton Food Larder £500, Crediton Arts Centre (Shakespeare Production) £500, North Creedy Choral Society £600, St Boniface Concert Society £600, Crediton Town Band £600, Crediton Arts Centre - Busk It! £800, Sustainable Crediton £1,000, Crediton Arts Centre (running costs) £1,000, Crediton Area History and Museum Society £1,000, Crediton Heart Project £1,000, The Folklore Library and Archive £1,000, Journey Counselling Service £1,000, Crediton Youth Theatre £1,000, Crediton Congregational Church (youth) £1,000, Crediton and District Swimming Club £1,200, Significant Seams CIC £1,260, Mid Devon Mobility £1,500, Crediton Rugby Football Club £1,500, CODS £1,500, Unite Carers in Mid Devon £2,000, Age Concern Crediton £2,000, Crediton Town Team £2,000, The Turning Tides Project £2,000, The Bookery £2,444.70, Churches Housing Action Team (CHAT) £3,000, Crediton Youth Orchestra £3,000 and Torridge, North, Mid and West Devon Citizens Advice £3,500.
