CREDITON Photography Club will start its 2024/25 season with its first meeting on Friday, September 6 at The Freemasons Hall, Union Road, Crediton at 7.30pm.
Once again, the committee has put together an all encompassing programme with topics to suit all.
The club continues to look for new members and to that end, will point anyone who is interested in learning more about it to its new website that can be found at: https://www.creditonphotography.co.uk/ .
The club is a small and friendly group of photographers with a wide variety of interests, ages and skills.
The club season runs from the beginning of September through to the end of April.
Meetings are varied with visiting speakers, practical evenings, demonstrations, competitions and presentations by experienced members. More generally, members are encouraged to show and discuss their work.
The club is a member of the Western Counties Photographic Federation (WCPF) and participates in its annual DPIC competition.
It also has links with three other local clubs (Dawlish and Teignmouth, Exmouth and Newton Abbot) with some collaborative evenings.
There will be 31 club meetings during the forthcoming season followed by an AGM and the end-of-year presentation on April 25, 2025.
The first meeting on September 6 will be an Open and Welcome Evening to welcome all members, answer any questions and introduce the programme for the coming year.
In the second half members will show images they have taken during the summer.
On Friday, September 13 the speaker will be member David Reid on his and Rosie’s trip to the Outer Hebrides.
