MID Devon District Council is to trial collecting old and unusable metal pots and pans.

The scheme will run for three months from Friday, February 28 to Friday, May 23 and will only be available for selected properties in parts of Uffculme and Willand.

The initiative could be expanded across the district afterwards.

Residents included in the trial can place their old metal pots and pans on top of their recycling container for collection.

“This trial is just one of the ways we are looking to make it even easier for residents to recycle everything they can,” Councillor Josh Wright (Lib Dem, Silverton) said.

“We appreciate everyone’s participation and feedback as we test this new collection.”
