NMD Building Control has successfully re-secured its ISO 9000 accreditation, reaffirming its commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused services.
NMD Building Control, a partnership between North Devon and Mid Devon District Councils, has been supporting the local community since it formed in 2017.
The internationally recognised standard, ISO 9000, ensures that effective quality management systems are in place.
This accreditation reflects the service's dedication to maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, efficiency, and compliance in supporting developers, homeowners, and businesses with their building projects.
Mid Devon District Councillor Steve Keable, Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Regeneration, said: “Our Building Control team is all about making life easier for our customers. We’re here to offer expert advice, keep projects on track, and ensure buildings are safe and compliant.
“This accreditation is a reflection of the high standards we set for ourselves and the trust our customers place in us.”
Leader of North Devon Council, Councillor David Clayton, said: “I’m delighted that the NMD Building Control partnership has once again secured this accreditation, which underscores our dedication to fostering safe and sustainable development across our region.
“By having effective quality management systems in place we are ensuring our communities benefit from compliant and well-managed building projects.”
