THE Crediton ELF Fundraising Group would like to wish all our friends a very happy New Year and thank you for your incredible support during 2023.
The group held a number of varied activities during the year, including skittles, cream tea, summer fete, the Big Breakfast, our annual quiz and a comedy night with Johnny Cowling at Bow – not forgetting our regular meat bingo evenings.
These events, which were all well supported and supplemented by generous donations, raised an amazing total of over £15,300 for the Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF).
We are an enthusiastic, volunteer led support group based in Crediton and all of the money raised from our events goes to support patients with blood cancer and other blood disorders across Devon.
ELF supports the RD and E Haematology Centre through improved facilities, better equipment and a range of patient services including transport, counselling and financial grants.
Sadly, we have lost some key long-standing members of the committee at the end of 2023 due to retirement.
We would like to take this opportunity on behalf of everyone involved to thank them for their commitment and hard work over a long period of time. The remaining committee members are keen to continue, but need help!
Would you be interested in volunteering to help in some of the events held by the Crediton Fundraising Group or in joining our organising committee?
If you think you could help, please call Glenn on 07977 916603 or email: [email protected] .
Our first event of 2024 will be a Meat Bingo at the Crediton Football Clubhouse on Wednesday, January 24, we had a full house for our Christmas Bingo so please come along, we look forward to seeing you all again.
Other dates for your diary – a skittles evening at the Waie Inn on Saturday, February 24; a concert with the Stan Hacking Band at the Crediton Congregational Church on Saturday, March 9 and our popular Easter Bingo on Wednesday, March 27.
Please look out for our posters for more information – we value your support – THANK YOU!
