THERE are many churches and their associated graveyards. As one walks through them or just passes by, one cannot miss the different styles of headstones and tombs.
Some have clear inscriptions and decoration, and others are plain or have been there so long, they are now unreadable.
Bow and District Historical Society are looking forward to welcoming Charlotte Coles to talk to about graveyards and headstones on Monday, April 28.
Charlotte has a master’s degree in osteoarchaeology and works as a commercial archaeologist.
Her talk promises to be very interesting and informative. The meeting is at Bow Village Hall, 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.
The talk is open to everyone and is free to members or just £4 on the night for visitors.
