LAPFORD held its annual Village Show on Saturday, September 7.

Jeanne Whittaker explained: “We were treated to a wonderful array of exhibits which were the result of a lot of hard work by all concerned.

“Thanks to the efforts put in by all in putting on this show, and to the ladies from the ARK, who provided tea and cakes to all present.

“Here’s looking forward to another great show next year, with even more entries.”

Jeanne added: “We also had a new class this year in the homecraft section—Sloe Gin of which there were many entries, and a good time was had by all!”

Cup winners were: Peter Heal (Best in Show and Best Flower Exhibit), Heidi Becker (Photography/Best Veg Exhibit/Flower, highest points/Highest Overall Points), Briony Clinch (Best Homecraft), Helen Andrews (Best Floral Art) and Trisha Mumford (Highest points for Veg/Club Potato - second year running). 

Other winners: Sue Harle (Best Craft), Amanda Bailey (Best Fruit), Warren Clayburn (Fruit, Highest Points), Awalia Gallo (Sunflower cup), Penny (Under 5 years) and Florence Mills (6-12 years).
