POLICE are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after two thefts of farm machinery in the Crediton area. The first incident happened between Monday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 24 in the Chilton area and involved theft of an Ifor Williams GD84TA trailer with ramp and mesh sides. The second incident, on the same night, involved the theft of a red Mountfield 1636H ride-on lawn mower from the East Village area. It is believed the trailer was stolen first to then steal the ride-on mower later in the night.
