A CREDITON woman has issued an appeal for the return of a sundial from her garden.

Mrs Margaret Warrington said that the cast iron sundial, a personalised gift for her and her husband’s 50th wedding anniversary, was glued to a brick pillar near the front of her house in Prince of Wales Road.

She explained: “I think it was taken over the Bank Holiday Weekend.  Whoever took it must have walked up our garden path to get to it.

“It is not a valuable item but is of sentimental value.

“It is engraved with our names and I would really like it back.

If anyone can help me get it back I would be really grateful.”
