A FIRE has destroyed a vehicle at the Grand Western Canal car park in Tiverton.
Fire control received multiple calls reporting the incident at around 9.20pm on Tuesday, November 19 and immediately mobilised a crew from Tiverton.
When they arrived, they found the vehicle “well alight” and got to work with a hose reel jet and a breathing apparatus.
They called for backup and a second crew from Tiverton was mobilised.
The firefighters successfully extinguished the fire, but the vehicle was damaged beyond repair.
The cause of the blaze was accidental, the fire service said.
