BOW and District Young Farmers’ Club celebrated its 80th birthday with a Dinner and Dance at the Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum.

The event was a sell-out, with more than 140 people attending for a splendid meal and disco afterwards.

There were speeches by Club President Roger Pennington and the Secretary Ben Bolt.
Grace was given by Joe Dunn and an auction by William Hopper and Chairman Sam Dunn.

Thanks went to local companies Andrew Symons, South West Fixings, Sam’s Cider, The Railway Inn, Jonathon Woods Vets, DTR garden services and others who donated to the auction.
The auction raised £1,365 and £503 was raised from the raffle.

All the profits will be donated to North Devon Deaf Children’s Society, Royal Devon Hospital’s Charity and FCN.
