A GOLF club in Devon said it had been left devastated after the loss of trophies during a break-in.
Devon and Cornwall Police were called at about 10.30pm on Wednesday, April 9, after a report of a burglary at Teignmouth Golf Club.
The golf club said officers arrived within 10 minutes of the alarms being triggered but the thieves had already fled the scene.
A club spokesman said: "The whole club is devastated at the loss of these trophies as they represent over 100 years of history, as well as a sentimental value to many of the members.
"They are irreplaceable - we are desperate to get them back and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward."
Police said an investigation was ongoing.

In addition, Halwill Football Club near Okehampton saw a storage facility broken into and a new Holland 25HP Boomer Tractor stolen.
The club appealed for information to be passed to the police.
