KICK off Christmas in style with this year’s Exeter City Centre Santa Run, which takes place on Sunday December 3.
Organised by Exeter City Community Trust, the run, which covers 5k or 2.5k, is the perfect family event and a real seasonal spectacle, with hundreds of Santas of all ages taking over Exeter High Street.
The first runners set off at 9am and you can run or walk for fun, for a charity of your choice, or you can raise money for Exeter City Community Trust and support the organisation’s work in the community.
Jamie Vittles, chief executive of Exeter City Community Trust, said: “The sight of hundreds and hundreds of Santas of all ages, shapes and sizes dashing down the High Street is certainly something to behold.
“It’s always such a fun family event and the perfect way to get the festive season underway.
“Many thanks to our headline sponsors Tozers, as well as our community partners Exeter Live Better, Radio Exe, Trowers and Hamlins and the ILEC Group – whose generosity enables us to contribute profits from the event to our work in the city.”
As well as supporting Exeter City Community Trust, runners can choose to raise funds for charities of their choice, or this year’s partner charities; Children’s Hospice South West, Exeter Leukaemia Fund, Julian House and Alright Mate?
