PARKFUN 24 has brought an array of free activities, fun, and games to the park for youngsters this summer.

Organised by Crediton Youth Service and supported by Involve Mid Devon, the initiative has already delivered several remarkable events.

Notably, Exeter City Community Trust hosted the first Premier League Kicks session in the town, the "Lark in the Park" events are a hit, and there was even an exciting trip to Woodlands.

On Tuesday, August 13, there are two more fantastic activities to get involved in.

Crediton Rugby Club will be leading a two-hour session in the morning, from 10am – 12 noon.

Young people will have a chance to play some games, practice some rugby skills, and finish with a game of tag rugby in this free Rugby Workshop.

In Crediton Arts Centre, the Clay Totem Pole Workshop will be taking place, working with clay artists, to design and create clay rings.

The rings will be joined together to form one or more pieces of art, in the form of totem poles.

The poles will be part of an art installation in a Crediton park. There will be two workshops split across age groups.  Workshop 1:  School Years 6, 7 and 8 - 10.30am to 1pm. Workshop 2: Year 9, 10 and 11 - 2pm to 4.30pm. The workshops are thanks to the tireless work of the Crediton Heart Project.

To book a free place, please visit the Crediton Town Council website: www.crediton.gov.uk/Youth-Work .

Throughout the day, The Crediton Youth Service will have the barbecue fired up.
