Crediton Colts 29 - Exeter Saracens Colts 22

BOTH sides in this Crediton Colts v Exeter Saracens Colts game contributed to an entertaining and hard fought Cup fixture. Bottom placed Saracens certainly gave the Crediton lads a scare with the result in doubt right to the final whistle.

The lead changed hands a couple of times as the game seesawed its way through the 70 minutes.

Both sides looked to run the ball at every opportunity but it was the Crediton lads that won the forward battle.

Some defensive lapses kept Sarries in the game but they did have some strong running backs who posed threats with ball in hand.

With time running out, the visitors had fought back from 22-12 down to level things up at 22 all and with the game heading for a draw it was the Crediton forwards who forced their way over with a converted try.

Prop Archie Bridgeman bagged a couple of tries and there was one apiece for Tom Ayre, Shay Wheeler and Jake Kibbey who also landed a couple of conversions.

Next Saturday it is Tiverton across the board with the Firsts and Thirds travelling to Tiverton whilst the Quins meet their Tiverton counterparts here at Blagdon.
