CREDITON Twinning Association chose Saturday, June 24 as the date for its annual boules competition, which was held in the Town Square.

A total of 16 teams signed up to play.

They represented some of the community clubs, family teams and teams of friends.

There were quite a lot of interested spectators who were enjoying the sun and refreshments from the local businesses. Some of the games were tightly fought matches.

Last year's finalists in the main competition "Foresters" and "Rolling Clones" met in the quarter finals and this time it was the "Rolling Clones" who became the victors.

It was a great afternoon enjoyed by everyone who took part.

In the end the main trophy was won by the "Rolling Clones" with "Julie’s Team" the runners-up.

In the final of the “Plate” competition the winners were "Boniface Link 2", after a hard fought match against "Golden Balls".

Jenni Pitts, Chairman of the Twinning Association, presented the trophies.
