CREDITON United Football Club hosted a sports quiz night on September 12 to raise funds for the club whilst offering a fun evening for the local community.

The quiz, which saw 12 teams enter, consisted of 10 rounds of 10 different sports with 10 questions in each round.

In third place, receiving free drinks tokens were Lord Bendtner FC captained by Michael Broome on 51 points.

In second place with 55 points and receiving a crate of beer were Kavos 2012 - captained by Steve Morish.

The winning team, with 61 points, who received £50 were Gary Anderson’s 180 Club - captained by Dave Keast.

Many thanks go to one of the club’s main sponsors Graphic Plc who kindly donated the prize money for the quiz, which was equally kindly donated back to the club by the winning team.

Thanks also go to Ann Broome and Steve Grinney for running the bar on the night and to Nathan Keast and Dave Lee - the clubs captain and goalkeeper for hosting the quiz.

Along with other social events planned for the rest of the season the club is hoping to run a football-only quiz in April.
