CELEBRATING its 23rd year, Queens Badminton Club continues to go from strength-to-strength.

For many of our members it seems like only yesterday they were picking up a racket for the first time, and have grown up playing the sport, making friends, playing socially or competitively, some at very high levels.

Today those youngsters have families of their own with their children now taking up the sport.

Inspired by a Danish tradition, Queens Badminton Club host parent-child sessions on a Friday night. Neither need be experts, but it is a great opportunity for parents to get active, appreciate the growing skills of their child, and have fun running around trying to win a few points!

Juniors are supported and encouraged through high quality coaching from an experienced and enthusiastic team of volunteers, also benefitting from learning many life skills along the way as they progress through the club and transition into the adult teams and sessions.

We have regular senior social club nights on a Wednesday and Sunday night, junior coaching on Friday evening and Saturday morning and senior matches throughout the winter season against teams in the Exeter and North Devon leagues.

As well as local league experience, some players regularly represent Devon and even England and Wales in international competition.

As an incredibly inclusive club and accessible sport, Queens Badminton Club welcomes players of all ages and abilities with something for everyone.

With an emphasis on having fun and getting involved, the first session is free, and rackets can be provided if required.  Come along, meet our friendly community and get hooked!
