THE Subaru Restricted Point-to-Point horse race series makes its first visit to the South-West on Sunday, February 1, for the Mid Devon fixture at Black Forest Lodge, near Exeter.

The new series, for horses that have not won any race other than a Maiden or Hunt Members race, culminates in a grand final at Stratford-upon-Avon racecourse on May 29.

With an attractive prize fund of £10,000 up for grabs, it is sure to have a popular following amongst West Country owners and trainers keen to qualify.

It is the only visit to Black Forest Lodge this season for the Subaru series but one of three in the locality.

The Subaru Restricted Race is the fifth race on a card of eight that commences at 11am.

Black Forest Lodge is located five miles south of Exeter at Kenton.

Entry costs £10 per person, up to a maximum of £30 per car.
