THIS Sunday, June 28, the Nello cycle ride in aid of local charity, FORCE, will be passing through the Crediton area.

About 1,500 cyclists will be taking part, riding either a 55 mile or 100 mile route, which includes some of the A377 and Crediton's surrounding roads.

Bypassing Crediton, the route will leave the A377 at Barnstaple Cross, go along Higher Road and Stonewall Lane, towards Shobrooke and then rejoining the A377 shortly after Half Moon.

It is expected that the majority of those taking part will be in the area just after midday.

The event raises about £80,000 each year and it is hoped that motorists will be patient and, perhaps, allow a little longer for their journeys.
