ON Saturday, October 12, an individual stableford competition for the Winter Cup was played at Okehampton Golf Club.

The winner of division one was Ian Drayner with 39 points, Darren Prouse was second after countback, Jerry Lock was third with 38 points and David Wiliams was fourth also with 38 points. 

Toby Gostling won division two and the trophy with 43 points. Alex Anderson was second with 41 points, Bryan Evans was third with 39 points and Fred Cooke was fourth with 38 points. 

Pete Grant was the winner of division three with 40 points, Matt Chamberlain was second with 38 points on the back nine from, in third was Nick Dudley-Warde and Dave Stallion was fourth with 37 points. 

The ladies section played a four ball better ball competition for the Vets knockout finals which will be held next year.

The winners were Marcia Collett and Sue Stanbury with 44 points. In second place were Sue Williams and Maggie Caws with 39 points.
