ON Saturday, August 10 the annual President’s Day was held at Okehampton Golf Club.

The competition format was a four ball better ball.  Division one was won by Will Searle and Redd Cann with 44 points.

In second place were Malcolm Hill and Pete Okopski with 42 points from, in third Alan Hawking and Fred Cooke, and Bryan Evans and Matt Parry were fourth also with 42 points. 

The winning pair in division two were Steve Browne and Brian May with 45 points after count back from, in second David Haines-Lawson and Trevor Chapman, Gary and Finn Carey were third with 44 points and John Haley and Ade Hick were fourth with 42 points. 

The ladies section entered their monthly medal competition and the winner of division one was Marcia Collett with nett 71, Penny Deakin was second with nett 73 and Sue Williams was third with nett 74. 

Division two was won by Judith Ezard with nett 72 and in second was Clare Salter with nett 77.
