NICK Staddon claimed this year’s Albert Midsummer Trophy at Downes Crediton Golf Club, on Monday, July 17, with a superb score of 42 points to win the trophy and the Division One prize.

In Division Two David Lee scored 38 points to take the prize.

Thomas Ballett scored 42 points to take the mid-week stableford prize on Wednesday, July 19.

Downes ladies came together on Thursday, July 20 to play in the ladies’ captain days which saw the team of Vivienne Bailey, Jane Russell and the Ladies captain Rebecca Aven with a score of 89 points.

In the Thursday nine-hole stableford, Tony Wonnacott was the winner with a score of 25 points.

There were some fantastic scores in this year’s presidents prize on Saturday, July 22.

Mark Mortiboys who scored 43 points to claim this year’s prize and the Division Two prize.

In Division One Sam Hills scored 41 points to take the top spot and finally in Division Three Josh Pring scored 42 points to take the prize.
