SEVEN years ago Margaret Hawman of Crediton finished her treatment for cancer and recently she raised £1,108.59, plus Gift Aid money of £125, for FORCE Cancer Charity Centre in Exeter.

Margaret ran in the virtual London Marathon on April 23.

“Leaving from the Centre, I had a lovely time running along the Exe Estuary Trail to Dawlish Warren and back to the Centre, as did lots of other virtual marathon runners high fiving each other and waving to each other,” she said. 

“It was an amazing experience and I had good support from family, friends and FORCE and my work place at Crediton Dairy and Gilbert Stephens.  Also, well done to the other six runners who were also running for FORCE,” she added. 

In total Margaret ran 26.2 miles in five hours, six minutes and 30 seconds.
