MID Devon Leisure, operated by Mid Devon District Council, is currently offering a limited service for the Learner Pool at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre in Crediton.

In a statement issued on Friday, September 2, Mid Devon Leisure said: “Due to the national shortage of Lifeguards we regret to inform our customers that as of Monday, September 5, we will offering a limited service for our Learner Pool facility at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre.

“We will not be able to offer public swimming Monday to Friday in the Learner Pool.

“The regular Aquatots session in addition to the swimming lesson programme and school bookings will remain unaffected.

“We welcome our customers to still access the main pool during public swimming, although we ask you to be mindful of the adult to child ratios which are slightly different than when accessing the Learner Pool.

“The weekend service will also remain unaffected and we look forward to welcoming our customers back into the Learner pool as timetabled on Saturdays and Sundays, whilst our team work tirelessly to bring the service back to normality.

“Please note that the Learner Pool at Exe Valley Leisure Centre still remains open should any of our customers still want that shallower and slightly warmer pool experience.

“This situation will be reviewed on a week-by-week basis and we thank our customers for their patience, understanding and continued loyalty during this challenging time.”
